An excellent days filming yesterday in the autumn sunshine of London’s Notting Hill as we had Davy Graham’s childhood friend John Miller talk us through the various houses they had both lived in around the area and the pranks they had played as kids all those decades ago. All this for next years film about the life a times of Davy or Davey Graham – or as John repeatedly called him rather touchingly: David.
Then a piece of conjecture from musician John Walton Ingham about the Ken Russell film location where you could see a young Davy playing guitar on a bomb site. The houses may have changed but the sky line gives it away to this day, and as it was just round the corner from one of Davy’s abodes it seems highly plausible as a film setting.
