June washes in

More weather surviving fun this week as we splashed our way through some delightful interviews. Two ex-journalists in the form of Patrick Humphries and Chris Welch relived their experiences at the non-stop 52 days a week life in those ’60s and ’70s top selling weekly music papers. A relentless publishing machine creating and reporting all the news that was fit to print week after week after week. Plus details of that all-expenses-paid first foreign trip.
The week was rounded off with Chas Hodges extolling the delights of the Outlaws with Ritchie Blackmore flour bombing passers-by as well as recalling the party nights whilst touring America in 1971 with Albert Lee and Heads Hands & Feet. Plus of course tales of Joe Meek, Jerry Lee Lewis and Gene Vincent. He loves his life on the road and don’t try to count the decades he has been playing them. A true gent !
