Oh dear this has turned into one of those weeks as I am sorry to see reports that Chris Peers has just left us. We filmed him a few years ago now in a home in Henley where he spent a lot of time recounting starting Island Records with Chris Blackwell and the nature of the music business way back then. Chris was very keen that we should record his story of a life spent in music – so we did. I guess it is in the nature of this project that there are times which are more upsetting, but there is also so much joy in the pleasure music has brought to the world.
